After learning the scripts from class, I wanted to experiment in several ways. First I created a piece which creates a ripple effect with a gradient. Then, I took the same layout concepts and altered it so that each 'cube' would shrink and enlarge - also with a gradient. I feel as though this is quite saitsfying to watch as the colours blend together when the array of cubes enlarge and shrink at the same time. However, I also wanted to experiment with the idea of objects having a pivot point, where it rotates and travels around that point. I also experimented with fading into scenes, however I had trouble figuring out how to fade out into the menu, as I already had a timer set and couldn't figure how to have them both simultaneously. Another aspect I struggled with was the speed of the cubes circling the pivot point - as in webGL, they appeared to be moving a lot slower than expected. This caused a lot of trial and error when building into webGL. I also experimented more with post processing - 'bloom' and materials having an emission, to create a 'glowy' effect in the third generative art scene.
